shaft furnaces are used mostly for heat treatment of bulky and heavy charges, where a crane has to be used for loading the batch into the furnace. it comprises primarily technologies of annealing, tempering, artificial ageing, etc.

description of furnace construction:

-circular layout frame of structural material;

-four legs on furnace bottom;

-grid of heat-resisting steel on furnace bottom;

-cylindrical circulation insert of fire-resisting steel providing for vertical circulation of internal atmosphere;

-fan located in the furnace lid, distribution screen with central suction opening under the fan circulation wheel;

-hinge-suspended lid furnace, opening upwards electrohydraulically;

-lid insulated with heat-resisting and graphite cord, with pressing force of the lid to the seal ensured by four manual screw fasteners;

-lid insulated by mineral fibre mat;

-the furnace jacket insulation consists of isoblocks, the bottom is insulated by microporous plate and a layer of insulation bricks;

-heating is ensured by heating meanders suspended on ceramic holders;

-wiring located in a separate switchboard;

-connection of supply cable to switchboard terminal box;

-safety switch situated on the guide for furnace lid lifting;

-the industry controller enables to save 30 control programs, each program may include up to 15 steps; the operator may start the selected program on specified date and hour by means of real-time clock;

-limit unit;

-k-type thermocouple, contactless switch relay.

-electrohydraulically lifted lid;

-industry controller with limit unit.
