真空度的形成
新装锅炉在注水至合适水位后，关闭所有与炉体相通的阀门，进行锅炉排气操作（抽真空），此时的真空度是靠真空泵抽气形成，抽出的气体都是空气（不凝结气体），这时，真空度抽得越低越好，因为空气属不凝结气体，它的存在会影响换热器的传热，一般真空度要达到-0.07mpa以下；当启炉升温后，随着负压蒸汽的产生，炉内真空度也随之下降（即炉压上升），此时的真空度是由于蒸汽被冷凝后的比容变化而形成，这种真空叫运行真空，这一真空度是负压蒸汽温度对应的饱和压力，这时的真空度基本保持在-0.03左右，对应的温度为90℃，并随热负荷的变化而波动。

真空度的确定
机组真空运行，热媒处于真空状态，为使系统运行在状态，建议将压力整定在0.06－0.08mpa（约-0.03

影响真空度的因素
真空度是确保锅炉稳定运行的重要指标，真空度变化主要有以下几个因素影响：一是本体有没有泄漏点；二是负荷有没突变；三是控制部分是否失灵；四是真空泵是不是工作失常。

在真空锅炉正常工作状况下，锅炉保持在运行真空状态下，真空泵无需工作，抽气单元的三通电磁阀和二通电磁阀是关闭的，只有当真空度发生较大下降时真空泵才会工作，同时打开二通电磁阀和三通电磁阀（详见控制）和真空泵。真空泵所排出的气体都是不凝结的气体，如空气。如果真空锅炉在正常工作过程中真空泵启动频繁，则为一种不正常现象，此时应检查负荷的变化情况，锅炉的气密性，控制部分是否正常等，如果均正常则应调整负压开关和压力开关的设计定，使真空泵的工作范围避开正常的锅炉压力波动范围。在作相应的检查和调整以后，锅炉会很快回到正常的工作状态。
