越桔提取物越桔，在欧洲称”bilberry”，在美国称”blueberry”，遍种于美国、加拿大和欧洲。它营养丰富，功效独特深受欧美消费者的青睐。 越桔提取物主含花色素苷本厂生产的越桔提取物含化色素甙≥24%。就历史而言，吃越桔对改善视力大有好处， 在“二战”中，英国空軍飞行员食用越橘果醬以增強他们在夜間值勤时的视力。后來研究也证实越橘可加速視紫质重生的能力，視紫质正是夜间视觉所必需的。除此，越橘还可改善书盲症或黑暗适应症，并改善眼睛疲劳的恢复能力。现在，越桔提取物广泛用于一系列视力和心脑血管保健品中，如糖尿病所致的视网膜症状、白内障、青光眼、黄斑衰退和痔疮。
