楼梯升降椅是一种运行在楼梯侧面的一种电梯。主要作用是帮助行动不方便的人（残疾人和老人）上下家里的楼梯。从外观来看，座椅电梯就像一个在轨道上运行的椅子。乘坐楼梯升降椅非常的容易方便。你只需坐下来，按动扶手上的按纽，座椅便开始移动。缓慢平稳地运行，非常流畅。当手一离开按纽，升降椅可以自动停止运行。再按下按纽又可以继续行走。另外安全性也很好，人坐在椅子上有安全带保护不会摔下来，升降座椅遇到障碍物能够自动停下来，停电也不用担心影响使用，因为驱动电源用的是可以反复充电的电池。
