The operation steps of the method are as follows: the mixture of the starting compound successively passes through the regions with different temperatures in the extruder, and moves from the low temperature region of monomer mixing to the high temperature region of final product melting. The water generated by cyclization reaction is continuously discharged from the extruder through appropriate orifice, and is usually extracted by vacuum decompression in the last area of the extruder. Polymer pellets or sheets can be obtained from the outlet of the extruder. Pei and various fillers can be mixed directly in the extruder to produce Pei based mixture.
