湿粉、蜜粉及干湿两用粉饼质地各有不同，使用的粉扑也有不同。海绵粉扑较适合湿水使用，方便均匀地推开液状粉底；三角形状的则便于涂抹眼角及鼻翼等位置。干湿两用粉扑一般是圆形或长方形，无论是否弄湿使用，都可以将干湿两用粉饼涂于脸上。不论选用海绵粉扑或干湿两用粉扑，还是以柔软度适中的为佳。

贪便宜购买硬身粉扑，既不能沾上粉末又难于推开粉底，得不偿失。蜜粉扑应以大面积及丝绒面层为佳，令蜜粉更均匀贴服。清洗方面也不能忽视。海绵粉扑每两天清洗一次；棉质及丝绒面层的蜜粉扑，可半个月清洗一次。

材质
分为天然与合成两种质地。天然海绵吸水度佳，适合在粉底液，粉霜时使用；合成海绵弹性较好，但吸水度不足，适合粉饼使用。

侧边厚度
厚度大的海绵会有较好的弹性，使用时肌肤的舒适感倍增，粉底也容易打得服帖自然。

粉扑-分类

粉扑

常用粉扑一般分为湿粉扑和干粉扑两种。

湿粉扑，也叫海绵粉扑

彩妆功能－－用于涂抹粉底，可以使粉底均匀地涂在脸上各细节部位。

种类－－在市面上有圆形，菱形，三角形，长方形几种。

a圆形粉扑－－面积大，手感好，适合用于打面积较大的部位，如整个面部，身体粉。特别适合初学者，也是影楼化妆师的必备品。

b菱形，三角形粉扑---体积较小，与皮肤的接触面积小，方面给一些细小部位打底，如鼻侧影，t字部位，下巴。

易于携带，特别适合外景拍摄补妆和新娘妆的跟妆服务。但是面积小，打底时间长，且不易拿捏，对手法有一定的要求，适合有经验的化妆师。

干粉扑

彩色功能－－将散粉，干粉均匀轻薄地扑在脸上，同时也可以起到定妆的作用。

种类－－市面上的干粉扑按材质分为棉质的和化纤的。

棉质粉扑－－化妆师常备的用具。它质地好，触感好，吸附能力强，易于定妆。

化纤粉扑－－价位较低，但是不建议使用，客人感觉不舒服。

按形态分有可拆洗式和不可拆洗式。一般建议使用可拆洗式，方便，卫生。
