sphereox? is higher in iron content than natural iron oxides so you use less of it.
also, because it is mostly spherical, it has less surface area and thus consumes less
binder. less binder means less cost and less gas created in the mold by the binder.
less gas means less surface defects! and unlike flaky natural oxides which trap
gases at the mold/molten steel interface, sphereox? enhances permeability
