据悉，跨国集团通用电气(ge)周三(7日)宣布，将设立一家结合通用电气的led、太阳能、储能与电动汽车业务与其predix平台的新公司，为客户挑选出并提供具有成本效益并高效的能源解决方案，该公司被命名为current。

通用电气照明部门的总裁兼首席执行官maryrose sylvester将领导该新公司。

通用电气董事长兼首席执行官杰夫·伊梅尔特(jeff immelt)表示：“current结合通用电气在能源效率、太阳能、储能以及现场发电方面的产品和服务与我们的数字和分析能力，为客户——医院、大学、零售商店及城市——提供更有利可图的能源解决方案。”

“在通用电气内部创建一家新公司强化了我们将能源带到新水平的承诺，专注于为我们的商业和工业客户、市政以及公共事业合作伙伴定制解决方案，并且提供一个可以随着技术进步而升级的平台。”

current将凭借超过十亿美元的收入启程，并计划推出一项新的能源服务，其中包括基于传感器的硬件、软件、实施、生产管理以及融资解决方案。

通过利用predix平台，通用电气将能够检测能源消耗，并用数据读取告知客户，就提高效率提出建议。预计这些解决方案将有助于客户节省约10-20%的能源开支，并有助于公共部门合作伙伴改进方式以管理其负荷。

通用电气副董事长，管理包括current在内的业务创新的贝丝·康斯托克(beth comstock)表示：“自从通用电气成立以来，我们一直改变电力与照明部门。能源是我们传统的一部分，是我们基因密码的一部分。数字代码是我们未来的重要组成部分。再一次，有了current作为一家新企业，我们有机会在能源输送中引领另一个重大变化。”

“如果商业企业要保持竞争力，他们无法承受能源解决方案的复杂性及低效率。他们正在寻找“面向未来的”解决方案。从插座到电网，我们了解电子流动的方式，并且拥有独特地位，在不考虑场景或客户的条件下优化能源。”

几家客户，其中包括沃尔格林(walgreens)、西蒙地产集团(simon property group)、希尔顿全球(hilton worldwide)、摩根大通(jpmorgan chase)、美国医院公司(hca)、英特尔(intel)以及英格索兰(ingersoll rand)旗下特灵(trane)，已测试了current的解决方案以推动能源效率并降低成本。

current总部将设在波士顿大都会区，在硅谷增加办事处。current已经开始运营，预计将创造约两百个新的就业岗位。

据了解，本次设立的current公司将合并led事业中负责商业以及工业客户的业务，而ge照明也将持续出售led灯泡给一般消费者。
