（一）抗压能力强 粒径为1.25-1.60mm的核桃壳粒，平均抗压极限为0.2295kn(23.40kgf)。粒径为0.80-1.00mm的核桃壳粒，平均抗压极限为0.165kn(16.84kgf)。

（二）化学性质稳定 不含有毒物质，在酸、碱、水中溶解量很小，核桃壳在盐酸溶液中的损耗为4.99%,在氢氧化钠溶液中的损耗率为3.8%，不会引起水质恶化现象。
