form1让人耳目一新的原因是因为它在低成本的3d打印机中采用了立体光刻（sl）技术。form1 3d打印机形成层薄至25微米（0.001英寸），打印Zui小部件可至300微米（0.012英寸），打印体积为125×125 x 165毫米（4.9×4.9×6.5英寸）。formlabs正积极推广其新低端fdm机，允许用户打印件复杂的几何形状，高层次的细节并获得的表面光洁度。
