hydroforge 5116a is a water-based graphitic forging lubricant. this product will provide excellent die lubrication to forge most ferrous alloys, aluminum alloys, and brassalloys. hydroforge 5116a has special additives that helps prevent oxidation discoloration on brass alloy forgings. hydroforge 5116a utilizes special blend of different graphite sizes, including sub-micron colloidal graphite, this dramatically improves the product’s performance; even at very high dilutions. the proprietary blend of coating enhancers, builders, and binders allows hydroforge 5116a to coat very hot dies; as hot as 925? fahrenheit.

hydroforge 5116a can be applied to the dies by either spraying or swabbing. superior die coatings are obtained by applying the lubricant using either an air atomizing or highpressure air-less atomizing spray system.hydroforge 5116a is supplied as a heavy-duty concentrate and is designed to be diluted with water. a good starting dilution ratio would normally be 1 part lube to 20 partswater. much higher dilutions are common; depending on the severity and complexity ofthe forging. the best method to dilute hydroforge 5116a is to add the water to the concentrate while mixing. mix for an additional 5 minutes after all of the water has been added. the additional mixing assures that the diluted lubricant mixture is homogeneous.
it is important to note that much higher dilution ratios are commonly obtained depending on the complexity and severity of the forging. mixing of this product during use is recommended after dilution.

应用hydroforge 5116a到模具时，可以使用喷雾或是涂抹的方式。而空气雾化喷涂系统或是高压无空气雾化喷涂系统在脱模剂喷涂的应用，更能得到十分优良的模具涂层品质。
